How does it work?
Mortgage Brokers in the UK are currently earning many millions a year in commissions. Our aim is to redirect some of that money to charitable causes.
Quotes4Charity CIC gives the general public the help and advice they need, whilst generating a cash donation to their favourite charity.
Every time our service is used, we receive a broker fee from the bank or insurance company that we place your business with, in the usual manner. Each type of product pays a different rate, and each bank/insurance company pay a different rate within each product range. Eg A mortgage broker fee is usually between 0.35% and 1% of the total loan amount. We use this broker fee to pay for our running costs, such as regulatory and staff costs etc. We use the surplus to create the donations to charity. On an average UK remortgage, this would amount to a donation to the charity of your choice of over £100.
All it requires from you is the time to complete the online registration
form and promote the scheme to your donors, volunteers and staff via your regular communications channels and events. The more supporters you encourage to join, the more donations your charity receives. *Council of Mortgage Lenders Figures 2008.
