Our Business

Proud to be The 1st Community Interest Company(CIC) in Financial Services.

We provide advice and help with Mortgages, Life Cover, Unemployment and Home Insurance. The service is fee free, and our advisers search the whole marketplace to ensure our clients receive the most appropriate advice for their own particular circumstances.

Every time our service is used, we receive a broker commission from the bank or insurance company, for placing your business with them in the usual manner. We use this income to cover our running costs as would any other Mortgage Broker.

Whats different about us is how we use our trading income. Being a CIC means we're free from having to work purely for the benefit of private shareholders, and can instead use a substantial part of our trading income to generate income to charity.

With an average UK remortgage generating a donation of over £100 to charity, we believe we offer an exciting new way  for the public to help their favourite charity, whilst getting the help and advice they need.

Quotes4Kids

This is the primary reason Quotes4Charity CIC has been set up. We hope with your help we will be able to use Quotes4Kids as a ladder of opportunity for children both here in the UK and abroad.

Whilst our clients choose which charity receives the majority of the donation generated, I5% goes into funding Quotes4Kids, which sponsor projects through charities providing education, mentoring and environmental assistance to children.

Working together with like-minded individuals and organisations really is critical to our success. We hope you get involved and Help Us, Help You, Help Them.

We have costed plans in place for out first few projects, but we're not getting ahead of ourselves and are taking it one step at a time.Sign up for our e-newsletter for regular updates on our progress.

Room to Read                   Our first project

Working with Room to Read, we will be building a new computer lab  in Cambodia, one of the most deprived areas of Asia.

Since Inception in 2000, Room to Read programs have already impacted the lives of over 990,000 children, They were founded on the belief that 'World change starts with educated children' - and that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.

RoomToreadClassroomPic Opportunity is inherent in technology, and Room to Read works with local schools and partner non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to make computer access a reality through our Computer & Language Room Program. Computer labs are established in schools and NGO-run community centers and consist of 10 to 20 computers (depending on country and room size), software, a printer, voltage stabilizers and Internet connection (where available); other basic needs such as furniture and a whiteboard are often included as well.

An integral aspect to this program is the training provided to the computer lab teachers to help them develop a curriculum, to improve their computer teaching skills, and to ensure that hardware is maintained properly. The computer classes, and the teachers themselves, are periodically evaluated to quickly remedy any knowledge gaps and to reward successful programs with more computer resources. Over a three year period, Room to Read provide subsequent training, as well as additional software and occasionally additional computers.

RoomToReadGroupPic Computer classes normally complement standard class time. In addition to teaching computer literacy and typing skills, the computers are used in conjunction with traditional classes to apply pragmatic application to relevant studies. Computer training and access are also often extended to members of the community after school hours.
