Rain Rescue
It may look like we are a large organisation - but we aren't.
Rain Rescue is made up of just 2 full time volunteers. Jacquie & Sue - thats it!
We don't have kennels, or Government Funding. All re-homing has always been done from our home. Over the last few years we have done many things to help dogs that have ended up homeless - and we really try to help the ones who truly have no-one - the Poundies (Dogs who have ended up in a stray kennel for some reason or another). Sometimes the pounds will contact rescue centre's and ask them for help when they are bursting. Its those that we try to help - though it breaks our hearts to think of the others.
We aren't massive - we both have family lives and work commitments as well - but we just try and help where we can.
We try to make happy endings and new beginnings, and hope you'll get involved.

Your big heart saved me...
You saved me from the terror of the pound,
soothing away the memories of my old life.
You have taught me what it means to be loved.
I have seen you do the same for other dogs like me.
I have heard you ask yourself in times of despair why you do it
when there is no more money, no more room, no more homes.
You open your heart a little bigger, stretch the money a little
tighter, make just a little more room...to save one more like me.
I tell you with the gratitude and love that shines in my eyes

Reminding you why you go on trying.
I am the reason.
The dogs before me are the reason, as are the ones who come after.
Our lives would've been wasted, our love never given.
We would die if not for you.
